Meetings 2010

August meeting

Pa Steve Hancy spoke on Matthew 6:10.  "The Kingdom come, Thy will be done".

May Meeting

"The Power of the Cross"

Speaker: Fr Tom Sherry

We would love to see you at St Anne's Church, Raine St, Wanganui East

 April Meeting

"Are You Ready To Yield"

Scripture Jeremiah 31 vs. 3.

Margaret opened the meeting and Fr Tom Sherry gave an opening blessing.

We then watched the video of Mary Rose, first president of Dove, made in 2008 by the National Team.  It’s a story of courage and her love for women to be free.

We were then asked to sit at Jesus’ feet while the music team went into a time of praise, the songs were presented slowly and reverently as the words were from Jesus Himself.

Margaret asked us to come up one at a time to be anointed as we yielded into the Lords loving arms.

The meeting was one of great majesty and awe at the wonder of the Lord.

Reconciliation was available and we then enjoyed a cuppa and fellowship provided by the hospitality team.

March Meeting

Jane O’Connell challenged us with her topic, “Where Do I Start”.  For a focus Jane used a lovely armchair that had belonged to her grandfather it was being restored to its former glory by her mother.  It was unfinished and lain forgotten in a dusty old garage.  Jane drew a parallel with our spiritual journeying and the partial restoration of this beautiful armchair.

God wants to restore his people, we have the choice of coming closer to Jesus, to our being spiritually sanded and polished by him, and allowing Him to continue with our ongoing maintenance.

There was an opportunity for the women during prayer ministry to bring to the Lord any thing that would hinder the process. The evening finished with enjoyable fellowship and a cuppa.

February - First meeting for 2010

Our February 10th meeting gave us a great start on the Journey of Restoration.

Twenty-five women listened attentively to speaker Sue Gullery, who spoke into Nehemiah, Rebuilding the Wall of Jeruselem  “How to let go to bring out the grain and yield to the Holy Spirit”.

A damaged brick wall in the process of repair complemented her teaching.

The meeting closed with Prayer Ministry and Reconciliation with Fr Tom Sherry.  We then enjoyed a cuppa and fellowship provided by the hospitality team.
